Social media is mourning the loss of the New York YouTuber 1Stockf30, who died on Wednesday.
Around 1:12 a.m. Wednesday, New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers received a 911 call about a vehicle collision on the Nassau Expressway within the confines of the 116th Precinct, the department told USA TODAY.
An investigation conducted by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad found that a 2023 BMW sedan operated by a 25-year-old male was traveling eastbound on the Nassau Expressway in the left lane at a high rate of speed.
Authorities said the driver of the BMW lost control and veered to the right, causing the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway into the right shoulder. The vehicle then struck a metal pole, which caused the vehicle to veer back across the eastbound lanes to the left shoulder, police said.
Police said the operator from the vehicle was then ejected, police said.
EMS responded and transported the 25-year-old male to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The 25-year-old Bronx man was later identified as the YouTuber Andre Beadle.
The NYPD said the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
Who is Andre Beadle?
Beadle had more than 250,000 followers on Instagram and over 60,000 subscribers on YouTube.
On his YouTube and Instagram pages, Beadle took his followers to his many street races, car washes and showed them his work on various types of cars.
In many of his vlog posts on YouTube, the car enthusiast introduced his mechanics while also showing off race cars that were in a shop.
Social media remembers 1Stockf30 as an ‘idol’ and 'legend’
On his Instagram page, his loved ones posted about organizing a balloon release to honor his memory.
Under the post, many of his followers sent their condolences.
In a touching comment, an Instagram user called him an “idol”.
“You are my idol brother, I wouldn't be who I am and racing without you,” the user wrote. “Love you always.”
Others are still working to process the news.
“I'm devastated,” another user wrote. “This one hit home! I wish he knew how much he inspired the worldwide car game. True legend. Rest easy bro.”
